Training Programs

Mini-fellowship - 2020

The Northeast Regional Training and Medical Consultation Center offers mini-fellowship trainings to provide first-hand knowledge and experience in carrying out various aspects of TB prevention and control. The goal is to share TB expertise and knowledge with health care providers from a variety of settings, which can then be translated into clinical and public health practice. Our Institute tries to meet the individual needs of those who attend by assessing areas of practice and communities served, and matching identified objectives with appropriate activities.

Applicants must be from one of the 15 project areas (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia) served by the RTMCC and work with TB patients in either a clinical or public health setting (e.g., physicians, nurses, outreach workers, disease investigators). Fellowships last from 2 to 5 days and are held in Newark, NJ. For additional information on how to take advantage of this unique opportunity, please contact Nisha Ahamed by email at ahamedni@njms.rutgers.edu or by phone at 973-972-9008.
