TB Training Roadmap-For Supervisors
As a supervisor, you can guide a nurse new to TB. It can be helpful to identify someone who can serve as a mentor to guide learning-whether a supervisor, experienced colleague, or even someone from another jurisdiction or state.
Use the Roadmap Training Plan and Roadmap Directory to guide a nurse new to TB. Employees may benefit from a facilitated discussion of the materials. Ideally, you or a mentor can discuss key materials with the employee and assess their learning. Key materials of the Roadmap are the following:
- Self–Study Modules on Tuberculosis 1-9 (CDC)
- You can use the Slide Sets and Facilitator Guide to provide training for your employee
- Continuing education credits are available
- Core Curriculum on Tuberculosis: What the Clinician Should Know (CDC)
- Each chapter includes study questions.
- You can use the Slide sets to provide training for your employee
- Continuing education credits are available
- TB 101 for Health Care Workers (CDC)

- CDC Guidelines
When the employee completes the Roadmap, you can create a certificate of completion for them. Feel free to use one of the following templates:
