WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference is open to physicians, nurses, public health staff, and other health care workers who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB infection or disease.

WHY COURSE IS NEEDED
As the incidence of TB continues to decline, maintaining clinical expertise is particularly challenging, especially as the cases are more complex to diagnosis and manage. Ongoing training and education are important for clinicians so they can develop and enhance skills in the diagnosis of TB, follow recommended treatment guidelines, and effectively manage complex cases.

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:

  • Employ updated guidance, best practice, and patient-centered strategies to guide patients towards initiation and completion of LTBI treatment.
  • Outline best practices in the treatment of LTBI in children and adolescents.
  • Utilize new guidance to initiate appropriate patient-centered treatment and improve treatment outcomes for patients with drug-resistant TB.
  • Effectively recognize and address adverse drug reactions in patients on TB treatment.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
In order to meet the learning objectives and receive continuing education credits, participants are required to attend the entire training and complete an evaluation.
