Successful treatment of a TB patient benefits both the patient and the community, and the responsibility for successful treatment lies with the health care provider, not only for prescribing an appropriate treatment regimen but also to ensure completion of therapy. Any physician treating a patient for TB is assuming an important public health responsibility. |
