Role of Physicians in Tuberculosis Treatment Monitoring

Physicians participating in the supervision of treatment and monitoring of TB patients should:
Fill in
the Treatment Card each time treatment is observed or when the patient receives drug refills.
Stay in regular contact
with the appropriate physician in the NTP to advise of any problems and take action as necessary.
Verify
drugs from TB services are received on time and are available to complete the full course of treatment without interruption.
