Adverse Effects
a
A minority of patients on treatment with first-line drugs experience adverse effects. When SLDs are used, these numbers increase.
Evaluate patients during monitoring visits to identify adverse reactions and to assess adherence.
Inadequate management of adverse effects is likely to contribute to irregular treatment and loss to follow-up.
