Reducing the burden of TB requires a multi-disciplinary approach, which relies on knowledge of local epidemiology, populations at risk and successful interventions. Recent increases in TB cases in CT point the need for ongoing training and education for physicians and other clinical staff improve skills in the diagnosis and treatment of TB,  and foster collaboration with the health care team and public health agencies.

OBJECTIVES

  • Examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on TB epidemiology and case management.
  • Recognize current recommendations for diagnosis and treatment of latent TB infection.
