New England TB Clinicians Conference

COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL
This conference aims to strengthen clinicians’ knowledge of TB and will provide an opportunity to address current and emerging issues in TB as well as promote networking among providers. Topics will include the patient/TB survivor perspective, 1HP regimen for treatment of TB infection, programmatic experiences with implementation of the community isolation guidelines, laboratory advances and partnering with the laboratory to strengthen diagnostics, case presentations, and late breaker topics from the Union conference.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference is primarily designed for clinicians (physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, fellows, residents) in the New England region who are involved in the diagnosis and management of persons with TB. Public health nurses are welcome to attend.  

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
In order to meet the learning objectives and receive continuing education credits, participants are required to attend the entire conference and complete an evaluation.

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Implement current recommendations, tools, and patient-centered approaches for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of TB infection and disease.
  • Identify practical strategies for successful collaboration between TB labs and programs to improve diagnosis of TB disease.
  • Summarize current recommendations, knowledge gaps, and challenges around use of the 1-month Isoniazid Rifapentine regimen for TB infection.
  • Utilize programmatic experience with implementation of community isolation guidelines to initiate appropriate respiratory isolation restrictions and improve patient experience and outcomes.

Please note that refunds will only be issued if registrants notify us of their cancellation by November 16, 2026. We will not be able to provide any refunds if registrants cancel after the deadline.
