DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL
This 4-part webinar series will explore various aspects of TB in women, with a focus on reproductive health and pregnancy. The goal is to strengthen healthcare provider knowledge and skills and to develop a better understanding of the differences in presentation, diagnosis, impact, and treatment of TB infection and disease in women of reproductive age. Topics will include epidemiology, pharmacokinetic aspects, genitourinary TB and infertility, diagnosis and treatment of TB infection and disease during pregnancy, and considerations and management of mother and child during the postpartum period. The format includes lectures, TB survivor lived experiences, case studies, and panel discussions. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This webinar is open to physicians, advanced practice nurses, public health nurses, and others who are involved in the diagnosis and management of persons with TB.

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Describe considerations for screening, diagnosis, and management of TB infection and disease in women of reproductive age, including epidemiological, pharmacokinetic, and clinical factors.
• Evaluate the clinical risks, benefits, and timing considerations around screening for and treating TB infection during pregnancy.
• Implement appropriate practices for patient-centered management of TB disease during pregnancy including in diagnosis, regimen selection, monitoring, and side effect management.
• Apply recommendations for care and management of mother and infant during the post-partum period, including pediatric baseline evaluation, breastfeeding guidance, and mental health support.
• Integrate discussions around reproductive impacts and considerations across all stages of TB care.
