Dr. Alfred Lardizabal is the Executive Director of the Global TB Institute and Associate Professor of Medicine at New Jersey Medical School. Alfred Lardizabal received his medical training at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he went on to complete fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Lardizabal’s clinical interests include early diagnosis of tuberculosis, understanding host-pathogen interaction in latency, and short course chemotherapy for latent TB infection (LTBI).
